Morehouse Sesquicentennial Anniversary History Project

Morehouse 150th Anniversary History Project

More info on the Sesquicentennial History Project

As Morehouse nears its 150th year of existence, the College has launched its 150th Anniversary History Project. The National Alumni Association (NAA) is pleased to assist the Project's chairman, Dr. Marcellus Barksdale '65, in this endeavor.

In particular, we are requesting that alumni schedule an interview as part of the 150th Anniversary's Oral History Project. From Dr. Barksdale:

As a subproject of the 150th Morehouse Anniversary History Project, we are conducting the Morehouse Alumni Oral History Project to collect the stories of Morehouse Men about the memories of their years at the College. The assistance from the Morehouse College National Alumni Association (MCNAA) would be extremely valuable to our effort. I want the alumni to take ownership of this project and get involved in an enthusiastic way. It is my vision that a separate book on our "Morehouse Stories" will be published; and to date we have interviewed over 300 persons associated with the College.

To schedule your interview (either in person while visiting campus or via telephone), please email Dr. Barksdale's team at
