Morehouse Alumni: Remember 2014

Remember.
December is when we reflect over the year, right? We recall all that we’ve accomplished and look back with joy upon it. The Association is excited to do that, too. Here are just a few highlights of what we accomplished in 2014.
  • Welcomed new leadership with Brandon C. Banks, formerly of the Atlanta chapter, as the Association’s vice president
  • Launched the Morehouse Alumni mobile app
  • Launched a whole new Morehouse Alumni Association website
  • Began the next cycle of the mentoring program
  • Revitalized several defunct chapters

It’s been a year of technological breakthroughs and alumni engagement.

Remember
In January, we’re supposed to forget the year behind us. The traditional New Year song, Auld Lang Syne even tells us to “let old acquaintance be forgot.”
But we’re asking you to remember a few things from last year. Remember the racial unrest that plagued our community in 2014. Remember the political decisions that have been made to effect students’ ability to pay for their college educations. Remember the threats from terrorists both domestic and abroad.
Remember, because …
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – George Santayana (1863-1952)

In our efforts to remember this January, we join with the College to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Click on the image below for a link to details on the events in the College’s month-long celebration.
