Morehouse College Alumni Association receives anonymous $10,000 donation to 300 Morehouse Men Campaign.
| ATLANTA, GA – This week, in the midst of fervent requests for donations, the staff at the Morehouse College Alumni Association offices were surprised to receive a $10,000 anonymous donation to their 300 Morehouse Men Campaign. This campaign is the Alumni Association’s annual fundraising initiative to assist graduating seniors in meeting their financial obligations to Morehouse College.
Students who have demonstrated academically that they are ready to graduate but who are unable to satisfy their accounts with the college could qualify to have funds applied to their accounts from the 300 Campaign. The Association hoped to encourage 300 alumni to donate at least $100 toward the fund this year. This donation enables them to meet their goal of $30,000 and focus on raising even more money to assist more students in need. Alumni Association president, Kevin R. McGee, said, “I knew that if we challenged brothers, they would heed the call. We have met our goal and are still pressing on. We feel proud that someone would consider giving this kind of gift to this cause, but we know that not everyone is able to do likewise.
