Morehouse Alumnus Aids in Rescue of Captain from Pirates

Back in 2009, the Navy ship USS Halyburton was deployed to rescue Captain Richard Phillips from the hands of Somalian pirates.  Morehouse College Alumnus Daniel Edwards, ’07, was part of the team that led to the successful rescue.  That event has been chronicled in Tom Hanks’ new movie, Captain Phillips.
