It’s the time of year when people behave a little better, love a little more demonstrably and give a little more wholeheartedly. As you wrap up your holiday shopping and begin to focus on the real giving of the season, we hope that you’ll consider giving yourself the gift of membership in the Alumni Association.
Beyond amazing discounts and access to networking opportunities, becoming a member means you are committed to giving back just a small token in gratitude for the experiences and learning you shared with your brothers while you matriculated at our alma mater.
That’s why you may also consider giving a year-end donation to the alumni association. Your gift would to be used to help students to make it from the halls of Morehouse College to the world beyond. Donating before January 1 would also allow you the tax benefits of being able to count your donation toward your 2012 tax return.
As we end this year and approach 2013, there’s a lot for you to look forward to:
Alumni all over the world are doing great things, and will will continue to highlight them in coming issues of this newsletter. We’ll also highlight chapters who contact us with information on their important upcoming events, like the Detroit Alumni chapter’s Pre-New Year’s Eve Event.
Keep your eyes open for the Martin Luther King Celebration events January 17-30, 2013. Get the complete event calendar here.
This is your association, and we hope that in this season you take the opportunity to reflect upon your life — including your time at Morehouse and your connection with your brothers through this Association — with joy and satisfaction.
