*For over 20 years, the New York Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College has provided financial support to New York-area graduating high school seniors via our Virginia T. Dowell Scholarship Fund. To date, we have distributed over $87,000 in scholarships supporting more than 24 recipients since the fund’s inception in 1999. We are proud to have been able to provide financial assistance to bright and deserving young women entering Spelman from New York state and are thankful for the continuous support of our NY-based alumnae.
